Athina Krikeli has left her own mark on the american and international track and field scene, winning dozens of awards for documentaries and investigative reporting- among them , five Telly Awards, a Cannes prize, and distinctions from the American Senate and the Presidence of the Hellenic Republic.
In doing so she has travelled all around the world. Many times. From the Alaska glaciers (for National Geographic) to India, Venezuela, Haiti, the Bahamas, Cuba, Nicaragua, Guatemala, the Arctic and the Antartic..and of course the whole of Greece.
“Mt Olympus the Creation” is the most recent work, a film from Ellopia Press that took months of filming and more than a year to produce and has already been awarded first prize at the Hollywood International Independent film Festival. The first (chronologically second, but first in the series) film in a proposed twelve-part series of full-lenght documentaries on the home of the gods of Ancient Greece.
