Award winner director Athina Krikeli introduced her documentary wearing a Hellenic Macedonian traditional dress

Athina Krikeli the Macedonian "Macedonia the shining gate of Mt. Olympus"

Wearing the traditional Macedonian dress from the region of Greece, Macedonia, internationally acclaimed journalist director Athina Krikeli prefigured her documentary Mt. Olympus, the creation. During the event Athina Krikeli  participated in a 19 minutes traditional  dance group dancing songs and melodies from Thessaly and Macedonia. It all took place at the event created by 1st Army of Hellas were more than 450 guests watched the award winning documentary from the series Mt Olympus. 
During her greeting she referred to the peculiarity of the documentary, which has so far attracted 8 World Golden Statues at international film festivals, and is nominated for another 5. The film is directed by Athena Krikeli. and Dimitris Zisopoulos, scientific researcher Annie Rassios, narrated by David Washington and music score by George Hatzis
"I discover during the filming of the series, that Mt Olympus is inexorable from whatever side you decide to approach him. The ascent from Prionia, Litochoro, Kokkinoplos, Zolotas, Gomarastali, KEOAX and so many other routes is a trip to Kythera by itself.

I feel especially honored that Dimitrios Boutlas, the dancing teacher of the 1 st Army, allowed me to associate with them, to honorably wear this Macedonian dress, and to show -particular to the younger generations that people can do many important things at the same time. What you need to have is values moral modesty and vision. Thanks to the teacher Tolis Xydas who along with D. Boutla taught us so much in so little time!
